Grimms Fairytale Version – Cinderella – Pantoum Poetry – Part 2

Isn’t this just amazing? Makes me think I should give something like this (Pantoum) a try… but then again, it’s probably best that the terrific poets tackle this and I stick to what I know.

Grimms Fairytale Version – Cinderella – Pantoum Poetry – Part 2

Thank you, Theresa and Anne,  for the invitation to write my own “Cinderella” story.

Cinderella’s mother gave her precious blessings on her death-bed which were never forgotten
The king looking for a bride for the prince ordain a festival inviting all the beautiful maidens
The stepmother refuses permission for Cinderella to go as she did not have suitable clothes
Later the stepmother agrees she may go if she can do a simple task not once but twice

There was much conflict building up but she remained good and kind as her mother told her
Later the stepmother agrees she may go if she can do a simple task, not one but twice
Her cruel half sisters cheated and made it harder…
