Longing

Serene Moments, so rare, so few
Chaos is what the world can show
My longing for silence is strong
In my dreamland where I belong

Sweet misery and agony
They haunt me in reality
The fantasy of blissfulness
Seems to escape me, oh, it’s a jest

A runaway, I will be
To reminisce of bygone peace
Of memories I always cherish
Of loves I lost, I loved the most

The souvenirs of my young life
Keep my dreams warm and alive
These memories I have collected
Can’t be replaced by any wealth

Loved ones and many friends alike
We never parted in my mind
We shared a lot of laughs and tears
We thought the joy would never end

But as life’s paradox persists
The good things also come to rest
The ups and downs go hand in hand
The grief ‘though is more than the fun

As creatures that have their own will
We learn to cope with everything
With every day we live on earth
We make the best of sick and health
